Beach House 'Teen Dream'

This album is full of life and energy. Victoria LeGrand's voice isn't remotely as dull and heavy as on their last release Devotion. This is incredibly present on the albums second tune titled - "Silver Soul" - it has a very unique guitar line that is woven to the entire tune. LeGrand throws around her voice like she's Clare Torry the woman who sang Pink Floyd's "Great Gig in the Sky" in just one take.

The biggest difference between 'Teen Dream' and 'Devotion' is that 'Teen Dream' has an upbeat feel. This album is the '60s but completely revised and renewed.

I saw them at the El Mocambo and it's shocking to see they moved not to Lee's but to the Opera House. I almsot want to go.
