Same Shit, New Names

Meet:

Harmony Trowbridge: http://www.myspace.com/harmonytrowbridgeShe contributed to the soundtrack to the movie Dakota, but was only left credited at the end, where as Do Make Say Think had their name dropped on the front cover of the DVD. Whatever sells. Apparently she shops at my work...

Carmen Elle: http://www.myspace.com/carmenelleI think she's only 18 or 19. When i saw her last summer she needed her parents to let her into Sneaky's or something along those lines. I like her the best, her voice is sounds really old, well older. I think she gives Feist a run for her money. I think she's taken a break for a while, devoting most her time to Toronto group Donlands and Mortimer http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=74845378.

Jessica Lea Mayfield: http://www.myspace.com/jlmayfieldSo she's only 19 and heavily supported by garage-blues rockers The Black Keys. She lent her voice to the song "Things Ain't Like They Use To Be" off the Black Keys album Attack & Release. I thought her solo stuff would have been better but pretty good for her age. She's been getting serious comparisons to Mazzy Star, but i don't hear it.

Heartbreaks in past concerts

http://www.chromewaves.net/concertPhotos.phpSOOO BASICALLY, i stumbled upon this website that has been doing reviews for probably the last twelve or thirteen years, primarily in Toronto. Looking back at shows, it absolutely kills me what i've missed....most notably: Rilo Kiley at the Horseshoe in 2004, The Shins at the Rivoli in 2002, Interpol at the Horseshoe in 2002!, Death Cab For Cutie AT THE REVERB in 2002!!!---mind you they had only released up to 'The Photo Album' and were probably pushing it at that point! Spoon at the Horseshoe in 2002!!! Death Cab at the Horseshoe! Ryan Adams at Lee's.Enough said....How much does that ruin you?
